What Is FairTax?

FairTax For All Guestbook... Thank you for visiting my Guestbook page! FYI, I have been forced to de-activated the guestbook, because--GO FIGURE--some idiot companies got a hold of the guestbook javascript and are spamming it 10-20 times a day with drug adds and other niceties. Since I've gotten tired of manually deleting them, it was all I could think of to do! If you'd like to add an entry to this page, please feel free to email me. I welcome your comments and suggestions, and will add them manually! Thanks for understanding... Debbie DuBois I am grateful, on behalf of all Americans, that you care enough to invest your time and energy on something that will help our country. The days when we could sleep through current affairs are gone. If more people don't get involved, like you are, our country will not survive these times. Thanks for all you are doing to make a difference! sally saffer <sallysaffer@bellsouth.net> Atlanta, GA USA - Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 22:34:27 (EST) Three suggestions: The 16th Amendment provides for a "voluntary" income tax -- check out the instructions for completing your Form 1040 -- we have an income system that depends on "voluntary compliance." Otherwise, the Income Tax would not be constitutional. If it were not a "voluntary" tax, you would have to be read your Miranda rights every time that you signed your 1040. But since you sign your 1040 voluntarily, you voluntarily give up your rights against self-imcrimination (5th Amendment)when you sign. Hence, the IRS can use the 1040 to prosecute you. Second -- the 16th Amendment requires that you pay the tax only on that amount for which you are "liable" or for which you "owe." That is not 100%. Finally, the first Income Tax that was passed in the 1890's was found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. May I suggest that you visit www.givemeliberty.org to get a more detailed education in tax history. (I coach attorneys in tax law.) Robert W. Like you, I'm a stronger supporter of Fairtax and I learned about Fairtax from Neal as well. I hope that you and me and other supporters will change the tax system for America. Brian Martin <rolemodel@bellsouth.net> Lithonia, GA USA - Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10:27:19 (EST) I am excited to be launching this new web site in hopes that I can inspire others to feel as passionate about the need for Tax Reform. And, the only type of tax reform that will work in these times is the FairTax plan. Learn all you can and go forward to make this dream a reality!
